So Fresh It’s Sick: Dated ’90s Kids Shows

Flash Forward

Original run: 1996-1997

Compared to how another show used it, this show’s title is a dated portmanteau of “flash back” and “fast forward.”  The transitions are even the sound of sped up cassettes, a technology barely used anymore.  More than a few of the eight graders wear flannel and overalls.  And in one episode, Tucker doubts his crush can come to his party, sheepishly saying, “You’re probably booked right up until the 21st century.”

DVD availability: Not released.

  1. not to complain about free content, but (for what little the opinion of an anonymous visitor is worth), these articles with a tiny bit of content stretched out over many pages are really annoying. I don’t even bother to read them anymore. I’d really recommend doing them as one page if you want many readers to get all the way to the last one
