SAY WHAT: The Big Housing Decision

With Boston University housing numbers coming out next week, everyone must solidify his or her plans of where to live next year. People have been swarming in and out of the housing office to check out different floor plans, from apartments in South campus to brownstones on Bay State Road. As for me, I’m just happy that I don’t have to deal with housing numbers this year–I am keeping my wonderful single in 192 Bay State Road, a brownstone that I have lived in since getting it my sophomore year in summer swap.

Where do you hope to be living next year?

If you do not get the housing you were hoping for, do not worry–things tend to work out in the end. There is always summer swap, where, after everyone selects housing, you can fill out a request form for housing choices. If a spot opens up over the summer, BU Housing will give you a call. From my experience and what I have been told, summer swap has a very high success rate. So don’t freak out–things are not set in stone after your housing meeting if you don’t want them to be. Good luck everyone!
