Look Your Best Without Paying the Price: Rent the Runway Comes to BU!

It is a constant drag to go out and spend hours looking for a dress for a formal or friend’s wedding that will only be worn once – especially because it usually costs an absurd amount of money. From this point on, for lucky students at BU, this problem can now be completely avoided, thanks to Rent the Runway on Campus.

RTROncampus.com is a college-dedicated website for fashion and beauty trends that allows students easy and affordable access to designer fashions.Students can go on the website to rent designer dresses and accessories for an event, and return them afterward.

“With full social calendars of their own, college-aged women have a variety of events to rent the runway for and we’re excited to bring them a dedicated editorial experience on RTROncampus.com,” said Jennifer Hyman, CEO and co-founder of Rent the Runway.

The Runway Reps at BU will be holding a series of events this semester to encourage students to Rent the Runway, as well as get the word out to students who desire designer fashions for their special events. The Runway Reps will be hosting fundraisers, fashion shows, style competitions, and more on campus throughout the semester.

If you’re itching to get out and Rent the Runway as soon as possible, Rent the Runway on Campus will be holding a RTR Trunk Show on Friday, September 9th, in which the Runway Reps will have designer dresses ready for girls to try on as well as plenty of giveaways and a photographer to capture students looking their best in designer wear.  The event will take place in the Cinema Room at Dexter Park (located in the basement) just off St. Paul Street, between 7 and 9 p.m.
