Barefoot “Beach” Soccer on Earth Day!

This year the BU Soccer Club (BUSC) has decided to make itself part of the Earth Day celebrations on April 22nd with 3 v 3 competitions on the BU Beach from 11am to 3pm. Grab some friends, sign up a team at the beach, and play! In the name of Earth Day, save that grass and take off your shoes- you’ll be playing barefoot.

In addition to small-sided games, the BUSC will be holding a juggling competition to see who can juggle the most times within five minutes. Extra points will be awarded for style! The winner of this competition will receive a World Cup 2010 Footskill ball. Competitors must pay one dollar to receive three chances at this prize.  All proceeds will go to the Grassroot Soccer Organization, which provides a soccer-fueled HIV education and prevention program in South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The BUSC will also be accepting athletic clothing donations to send to Grassroots Soccer as well, so bring your old cleats, jerseys, shirts, and shorts for a good cause!
